For our WorkHorse saddle pads, we use a thicker (2.4-2.6mm) bovine pull-up leather. Pull-up leather is a soft, durable leather treated with high amounts of oils and waxes rather than paints or pigments. This allows the leather to lighten in colour when stretched or bent. When conditioned or oiled this leather darkens, due to this characteristic. Over time and with movement it will lighten again.
As much as the natural colour is beautiful, we do recommend conditioning regularly. If you want it to go back to the same colour after conditioning, bend the leather on the saddle pad and it will lighten slightly - over the next few weeks it will go back to it's normal colour.
We offer custom laser engraving on all our saddle pads. It's the perfect way to advertise your stud, brand, business logo, initials or event details. The engraving location is the offside only, or both near and offside. The nearside will be situated beside our logo.

- Available in white or merle brown felt only. Black is not available for this style of saddle pad.
