Plaited Reins Dark Havana

Available in: 3 plait or 5 plait and in 4'9", 5'6" or 6' lengths. Our plaited reins are all handmade and plaited in our workshop. With the option for brass or stainless hardware, split or joined and also, an optional extra for a buckle to join the ends.

The most common question I get with these reins is what length is best? My recommendations are:
- 4 foot 9 length for Polocrosse players, or those that prefer joined reins as there's less to get caught up while playing. I do recommend these to be joined as there is not enough weight to hold the reins either side of the wither.
- 5 foot 6 length for Campdrafters, or those who prefer to bridge their reins. I believe this is the perfect length for general working use or those who like to switch between split and joined - for regulation reasons.
- 6 foot length I believe is best for training, as the extra length allows for a leg extension if needed.
- 3 plait: I recommended for larger hands and men tend to prefer the three plait.
- 5 plait: is perfect for smaller hands. Ladies the 5 plait feels amazing and it doesn't feel like it's cutting into your hand!

22mm width at the bit/buckle expanding into an inch and a quarter width for extra strength. Available in the following lengths:
