LUCY GRILLS
Lucy Grills has represented Australia at 3 World Cups and 13 international test series while competing at every Australian National Championships since 2006. She is also proud to be the Australian Ladies Polocrosse Captain and the highest capped Australian Ladies Polocrosse player of all time.
Lucy has been a K Renae Leather advocate and supporter from the moment we established our accidental business in 2021. From there, the support hasn't stop. Lucy purchased multiple bags, brought a belt and won a few herself through sponsorship of local Polocrosse Carnivals, and also brought a natural partnership to life with Berragoon's ASH Annual Sale.
She trailed and tested our SP Polo Breastplate for 6 months before we offered it for sale so we were able to test it under the most rigorous work environments possible. Lucy and team Berragoon ride so many horses daily, it was nice to see how it faired. Lucy recently returned from South Africa in August 2026, where she captained the Australian Ladies team to a 3-0 test series victory over the current World Champions.
Her greatest career highlight came in 2019, where she was named Best Lady Player at the World Cup while also helping Australia bring home the trophy. Lucy was a recipient of the Women's Health Magazine Local Sporting Champion Award, which gave her the opportunity to spend 12 months being mentored alongside Olympic athletes and developing leadership and performance skills that continue to shape her sporting career. In 2018, she founded Girl Talk. A coaching program designed to empower young girls in Polocrosse by combining sporting development with education around mindset, nutrition, fitness and mental wellbeing.
She's a passionate horsewoman, with a love for camp drafting and a particular passion for breaking in and training her own young horses. Whether it's competing, coaching or travelling, most of her life is spent in the saddle.
